when a sketch becomes 3D :)

This cotton white dress  has a halter top with a sweet heart neckline . The top has several darts and pleats which crisscrosses to give the dress some dimension. the bottom of the dress is gathered to give it this full look and also have pocket on the side to carry a couple items just incase you do not want to carry a purse.

Hey fashion people well i have spent several hours  sewing this week and created two garments. The first garment i created was a cotton white dress. I was lucky that i found about three yards of white fabric because i did not have any money to purchase fabric. Sometime you just have to work with what you have so that is exactly what i did. I am now debating whether i should dye the material or leave it white. If i do decide to dye it i will update you with the final look and a how to dye fabric using vegetables.:)
Now here goes the second garment which i recently finished. With the storage of selections of fabric i found some scrap fabric. I thought of a garment that i would be able to construct with the limited pieces of fabric. So i design a garment which can be worn at the office or a night out for a couple drinks. I wanted to create a garment appropriate for the work place but yet a little sexy to be worn out.
hope you enjoyed viewing my garments please comment im looking forward to see what u think and if any one has a question leave a comment or  email me @ ( lizette_soria@yahoo.com  )

COOL NAIL EFFECT!!!!

Hey Dolls!!! Want to add some cool effects to your boring nails ???well here are two products that you are going to want to buy. although these products been released serveral months ago many do not know about these nail polishes, maybe because where im from many stores do not carry these products. If your store do not sell these items you can ask them to add them in their store, or you may  purchase them online. :)  so this is how you use it simple paint your nails with any color that you prefer. This will be the background color then next you will use the crackle/ shatter nail polish over the dried nail polish and let the magic happen. In seconds the crackle/ shatter will start to create a reptile like textile. After the nail polish did its magic you may now apply a layer of clear nail polish to seal the colors and thats all. You will have some cool unique nails!! so go out and buy some and have a fun shatter and crackle time :)

here are some NATURAL COSMETICS you are going to want to try.
Cucumber anti-blemish mask
Cucumber is calming while rosemary is a super-effective antiseptic. You'll find the egg white will tauten on your face.
2.5 cm (1 inch) chunk of cucumber
1 drop rosemary essential oil
1 egg white
Whizz the cucumber in a blender until it becomes completely liquid, then add the drop of rosemary essential oil. Whisk the egg white until stiff, fold in the cucumber mixture and smooth over the face avoiding the eyes and mouth area. Remove after 15 minutes using a clean, damp washcloth.
TIP: If you have a spotty back or shoulders, ask a friend or partner to apply the mixture to your back: it makes a wonderful 'back pack'.
* Rosebud lips
This luscious lip-slick gets its purplish-pink colour from alkanet.
75ml (3fl oz) olive oil
1 tablespoon jojoba oil
45g (11/2oz) dried alkanet root, chopped
20g (3/4oz) beeswax
9 drops rose essential oil
Gently heat both oils in the top of a double-boiler for about 10 minutes. Remove from the heat, add the alkanet root and steep for around 30 minutes, to extract the colour from the root. Strain the root from the oils through a muslin cloth and compost the root. Return the oils to the double-boiler with the beeswax. Once this has melted, remove from heat and add the rose essential oil, drop by drop. Pour into small, sterilised pots or jars. Allow to cool thoroughly before capping.

OUR VERSION OF BINGO :)

La Loteria is a mexican game similar to Bingo. instead of numbers on the cards their are images with the name of an object or person. This game was first introduce to me when i was about seven years old during my visit  in mexico. We all had a great time and this memory stays vivid and embeded in my mind because this was really the first time i mingled with my family.
My favorite card from the deck is el corazon (The heart) i just think the card has meaning to it. Every heart feels pain and it is represented here in the picture with an arrow thru it and also i just like the vivid red color and yellowish greenish background:)
With these cards i decided to be a little creative. I covered and old plain black box and made it come to life by glueing these funky colorful cards and brush on a thin layer of Resin. As you may know resin is now my new best friend i just love how it makes everything shiny and gives everything a finish look.
well thanx guys for staying tune ... please Leave a comment below on a game you remember playing as a child and why is it your favorite. :)
This game La Loteria or Bingo is a game of chance just like life you have to take chances in order to win. :) remember la vida es bella ( Life is Beautiful) even at its worst of times theirs always beauty in it. Add me on facebook http://www.facebook.com/lavidaesb3lla

Hemp Shampoo??????

well i was doing some shopping at Sally beauty store i ran into this bottle of shampoo which happened to caught my attention. Yea!!! ive seen shampoo before with fragrance such as coconut or refreshing waterfall mist from suave BUT THIS SHAMPOO WAS DIFFERENT!! this shampoo was made from hemp and had this big green marijuana leaf right on the bottle. Honesty i didn't know they made hemp shampoo. I knew they made hemp clothing but thats about it. The benefits of hemp is often ignored. This is a natural product which has been cultivated for over ten thousand of years.  It is very popular all around the world the ancient chinese called it "ma" they used hemp in building material, cloth and paper. In india they believe that hemp was a product that was produced by their gods. It a very controversial issue wether it offers any benefits. in my opinion this proves that this product is very beneficial. I would recommend this shampoo. Ive tried many shampoo but this product   i absolutely love. i bet you would too. Ive did many experiments on my hair which had damage my hair and caused some server breakage. Example last year i beached my hair 7 times in one day because my hair was so dark i could get the shade i wanted. And yes i knew what i was doing would be extremely harmful to my hair but hey i was determined hehehe i was just surprised my hair didn't fall off because you always have to wait a couple days in order to bleach again.. But hey i look at it like this their if always a bright side if my hair did fall off i would have purchased an exotic wig thats would have been the solution to my problem :) after i did bleach my hair seven times i finally end my journey of my transformation. i finally had the colors in my hair i wanted which were blue purple and pink. I love adding color to my hair but its just a hassle to get my hair to the colors i  desire. so i dyed my hair complete black and i get my hair cut often.. this shampoo does actually what my hair needs it nourish and reinforce against damage, increases elasticity balance moisture levels, and smoothes cuticles. It leaves your hair feeling smooth frizz free and smelling great :) It's safe for color-treated hair and gentle for everyday usage. and NOOO you will not i mean will not start to hallucinate once the aroma hit the air. u can purchase it in sally beauty store or visit their website www.zotos.com :) and remember LA VIDA ES BELLA/ LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL

LIFE IS SWEET

COCONUT CUPCAKES YUM!!!!
Hi GUYS!!! i know there are plenty of people who are big fans of sweets :) i cant lie i am too. As a kid i loved to watch cooking channels and try to make the sweets i saw on tv i made coconut morroons cupcakes cakes cookies, of course they never turned out like the ones on tv but they were discent and most important they were good. well to me they were hehehe My mother always complained of the mess, it was always a disater in the kitchen when i would bake. LOL i had so much fun baking. well today in day cupcakes are in right now. Last week i made coconut cupcakes a recipe of martha swart to share with you a recipe for coconut cupcakes and they were pretty tastetly. so i would like to share with your the recipe i found.
COCONUT CUPCAKES
Ingredients makes 2 dozens

3 cups of flour
2 teaspoons baing powder
1 teaspoon salt
3 sticks unsalted butter
2 1/4 cups of sugar
1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
1 cup of coconut milk
8 egg whites
1 1/4 cups shredded sweetened coconut

1.)Ok well for the cupcakes you need to pre-heat the oven to 350 degress.  you will need to put liners in a two 12 cup muffin pans or just spray them with butter so the cupcakes wont stick.
2.) in a bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, and salt put aside.
3.)in another bowl beat butter and two cups sugar until light and fluffy 3-4 min. then beat in vanilla. Add flour in three parts pour in the milk also in three parts. mix well
4.) in another bowl beat egg whites on low speed until foamy then add remaing sugar change speed too high mix until its stiff for about four min. fold a third of the whites into the butter flour mixture fold in the rest and add the coconut.
5.) now divide the batter in the pan to me its easier using a ice cream scooper because its cleaner and it help measure the same amout. pop them in the oven for about 25 mins and your done. Let them cool down before your add the frosting you prefer. :) ENOY AND REMEMBER LIFE IF BEAUTIFUL AND SWEET!!! YUM

HI FASHION NERDS!!!! :)  I KNOW that on my last blog i wrote that i would be showing you guys how to make bottle cap jewerly but im still im the process of collecting  bottle caps so that will be postponed until further notice. Meanwhile I decided to share with you my weekend adventure :)  let me tell you something about myself....I LOVE to wear dresses even in the winter hehehe. This weekend i wanted to wear a dress with leggings but i opened my closet and there was not much of a selection because i recently cleaned out my closet....lol ill let you in on a little secret shhhhh, the mall isnt quite my best friend lol so i wasnt going to the mall for a dress!!! Instead i took my butt to JO-ANN FABRICS!!!! I made two dresses and i spent  less then 20 bucks to make them!! Pictures can be found on the right side. The first dress was made from a gray knitt fabric and I used black knit for the long sleeves. Its pretty short so you can wear shorts if you prefer. The bottom of the dress is shaped at an angel. Its pretty cool because it gives it that edgy look. I wore tights and a pair of old boots from DIRTY LAUNDRY because i like the grundy look. You can also wear it with a belt to accentaute the waist or throw on some boots with heels. The black necklace is just black knitt fabric which was left over from the sleeves, all i did was braid it and tie the ends. You can also wear it as a funky headband like in the third picture. In the fouth picture i made a pink and white tunic with short sleeves. i wore some black boots, a light brown belt and a cross body bag from ALDO which I love! It has long fringes and a triangle flap. I think its a very Boho kinda look. Well that was my weekend adventure full of Fantastic sewing lol... Be creative guys and remember LA VIDA ES BELLA/ LIFE IS BEAUTIFULL

Well since im constanly in search of a new art project i came across Resin Jewerly. Resin is a liquid synthetic which hardens. It has become very popular in Jewelry making. It pretty neat how you can add pretty much anything like print out imagines but if you want to get more creative you can use  real flowers or even food,, and yes FOOD pretty much anything edible into Jewerly and it wont spoil. hey dont get to carried away you dont want to add a meal all into one small piece of Jewelry because thats insane lol
Once i came across this new discovery :) i had to try it out. So this is when my adventure began Straight after class i went to A.C. MOORE and bought the materials needed. I came home and before I headed to my room i made a stop toooooooo the kitchen i grab my special ingredient......... which was........ SPRINKLES I LOVE SPRINKLES <3 I mixed the resin and poured it in the mold  with the sprinkles and within 24 hours i made resin Jewerly. It was pretty simple. On the side are acouple of resin Jewelry i started to make, not done, have to turn them to rings or necklaces. The sprinkle one in the corner is gonna be a ring. XD
